Salita Promotions Unveils Two Blockbuster Bouts to Support Claressa Shields’ Undisputed Title Defense on July 26, 2025

DETROIT (May 23, 2025) – Salita Promotions has announced two electrifying undercard matchups to support Claressa Shields’ Undisputed Heavyweight World Championship defense against IBF Light Heavyweight Champion Lani Daniels. The event, set for Saturday, July 26 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, will air live on DAZN, spotlighting some of the most formidable women in boxing today.

In a high-stakes co-feature, undefeated American phenom Samantha Worthington (11-0, 7 KOs) will battle France’s Victoire Piteau (14-2, 2 KOs) for the WBA Interim Jr. Welterweight Women’s World Title. Worthington, co-promoted by Shields’ T-Rex Promotions and Salita Promotions, has rapidly ascended through the ranks, and now looks to claim her first title on the global stage. Piteau enters the bout on a five-fight win streak and will be making her U.S. debut in this pivotal clash.

“I believe with all my heart that Jesus created me for this very moment,” said Worthington. “This opportunity is not just about a title—it’s my purpose. I’m ready to dominate and show why ‘The Heat’ is the future of the division.”

Piteau responded with determination: “To win the most iconic titles, I’ll give everything I have. I’m proud to continue my journey in the U.S. against a strong opponent like Samantha.”

The second feature sees Montreal’s Caroline Veyre (9-1), the reigning WBC International Featherweight Champion, square off with veteran French contender Licia Boudersa (23-3-2, 4 KOs) in a WBC Featherweight Silver Title bout and World Title Eliminator. Known for her technical mastery, Veyre has gained momentum with two consecutive dominant victories. Boudersa, entering her first bout under the Salita Promotions banner, brings elite-level experience, including a razor-close loss to IBF champion Beatriz Ferreira.

“Caroline is one of the most technically brilliant fighters in women’s boxing,” said Salita Promotions President Dmitriy Salita. “She’s on track to become a world champion and a star in the sport.”

All eyes will be on Detroit as Claressa Shields (16-0, 3 KOs) headlines her homecoming event, defending her undisputed heavyweight crown against New Zealand’s Lani Daniels (11-2-2, 1 KO) in a clash of champions.
